Hacked by Easy WP SMTP exploit

This site got hit yesterday by an exploit in the wild aiming for the “Easy WP SMTP” plugin which redirected all traffic to (getmyfreetraffic). Sorry about that! It could have gone a lot worse but the exploit couldn’t get access to the admin area as it only allows my ip. So to be on the safe side I deleted the whole site and database and restored it from a backup. I also got a lot of mail notifying me – thanks.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t over for many other WP owners, so if you use Easy WP SMTP plugin, get it updated now! Here’s one who also got hit yesterday.
